IS4CE2020 Circular Economy Conference

The Organising Committee of the International Society for Circular Economy (IS4CE) is organising an International Online Conference on Circular Economy from 6th to 7th of July 2020. The purpose of IS4CE is to synthesise and evolve the intellectual frameworks, knowledge, evidence and experience base to underpin a shift from a linear, extractive economy to a circular, regenerative and restorative economy, with research contributions from academics, practitioners, civil society and policy makers, working in the field of circular economy. Plastics Recycling World Expo

October 7th – 8th, Essen

The Plastics Recycling World Expo is a dedicated free-to-attend marketplace for the plastics recycling industry that will include plastics industry exhibitions – the Compounding World Expo, Plastics Recycling World Expo, Polymer Testing World Expo and Plastics Extrusion World Expo -, plus all their related conferences. Originally scheduled for June 3rd-4th , the event will now take place at Messe Essen in Germany on October 7th and 8th of 2020. Webinar “Human Health and Resilient Food Systems”

July 3rd (online)

The OECD, WWF and EDF, in collaboration with the World Bank, have organised a series of high-level virtual dialogues. On July 3rd, the session will focus on health and the environment. These conversations will inform policymakers as they move forward with recovery policies, and as well as influencing delegations for ongoing international processes including the SDGs, biodiversity and climate change COPs.

The EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) will be back for its 15th edition between June 23rd and the 25th. The EUSEW is a month-long series of activities to build a secure energy future for Europe. It brings together public authorities, private companies, NGOs and consumers to promote initiatives to save energy and move towards renewables for clean, secure and efficient power. 1st Digital Workshop Open for EU Regional Officers

The Policy Lab is a platform where European Regions working with Circular Economy projects can collaborate, explore possible scenarios and co-design solutions for better policies.  Every three months, they are going to pose a general research question and then, one monthly sub-question in order to foster discussion between regions. This period’s research question is: “How to define common criteria to assess Circular Economy projects for the new programming period?”. The first online workshop will take place on the 4th of June.
